Bass guitar?
I am learning bass guitar, what are some good, but cheap bass guitars? I played flute for 5 years, any tips getting use to the bass clef?
It really depends on what you're trying to play, but for the most part Ibanez is a really good brand that doesn't usually cost too much. If you can spend a little more money I would suggest a schecter. To get used to the bass clef, just pretend the entire staff got moved down. If you've noticed the G is on the first line instead of on the second line. So just pretend the G is really still on the second line and go from there. Or really starting with any note.
Dean E09 Edge Bass, Mahogany Finish
It is often said the "beauty is skin deep," but the Dean Edge Bass is clearly and exception. While beauty was the inspiration, we put every bit of our 20-plus years of design experience into these models. We started with a body styled and contoured for comfort, and to make them lighter we used choice basswood. The maple necks were profiled to be faster and sleeker than virtually all others. We designed a "uniquely Dean" custom neck joint and heel along with our asymmetrical four-bolt pattern, creating uninterrupted access all the way up the two octave neck. The Edge Bass is offered in four, five and six string models. Experience one of the world's finest basses. E09 M is the most affordable in the Edge Line.

Bass Guitar?
I really want to play the bass guitar and was wondering, one average, how much do they cost, where can I get it, where can I get lessons for it? Any other information will be helpful! Thanks!
A bass guitar will cost you between $300 and $500 dollars. The amplifier will cost about the same for a starter amp. Most bass players are frustrated guitar players. So maybe you have an advantage wanting to be a bass player right off. Do you hear the bass line when you listen to a song...are you just dying to pound out the fat bottom punch! Get thee to your nearest music store ... They will have what you need to get started. Be advised...bass is murder on the fingers for the first couple of months...or maybe you will go high tech...no strings. Good luck

Bass GUITAR?
hey im gna start playing the bass guitar-no i don't play regular guitar im just starting-and anyway i was just wondering if i should start with a 4, 5 or 6 string guitar? i can already play a little on the regular guitar and i played the piano so i have a knak 4 learning new instruments!! thx!
I always tell my students the same thing - walk before you run. There's no need to start with more than a 4-string, unless you have a 5-string gig lined up! Once you work hard and master the 4, then you can move on.
